Fundraising

We work year-round to raise the necessary funds to purchase the items that are provided to our families.

How we Fundraise:

Station Sales

Our Station Sales are held on the first Saturdays of March-October and on each Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm during those months. The Station is set up like a thrift store where shoppers can search for great deals! The funds raised from these sales support all of our programs.

We accept donations of used items starting in January through July. Please save your items and consider donating to us when you clean out your closet, garage, and attic!

Raffles

Recently we sold raffle tickets for the chance to win a print of the Bedford Middle School painted by local artist, Beulah Witt.

The frame for this print was created from wood that was obtained from the office in the middle school before the fire. Des Black from the Bower Center built the frame and Goose Creek Studio of Bedford matted and framed the print.

Grants

During the year, we apply for grants that we qualify for as a non-profit organization.

Festival of Trees

The Bedford Welcome Center holds the “Festival of Trees” each year during the Christmas season. The Christmas Station participates by designing a tree for display.

The Festival of Trees is free to attend and is family-friendly. Visitors are encouraged to bring money to vote for their favorite tree(s). All proceeds are given to the designated charities at the conclusion of the event.
